Oblivion Questions
Hello, I'm Justin Latimer...but you must refer to me as His Majesty! I asked that an Oblivion section be added and here it is. This first topic is for questions pertaining to Oblivion. I can answer many questions about Oblivion. So if you have any or just want to talk about Oblivion, this would be the place.

m'kay first question right over here. What is the most beautiful city in Oblivion? I know this one is an opinion but if I ever get Oblivion I wanna know these types of things.

His Majesty- 06-11-2006

I'm going to refer you to three diferent cities. Anvil is a port town and has beautiful houses with green copper doors and clay tile roofs. During sunset the city of Anvil is awesome. The Imperial city is an old elven city that was claimed by Reman Cyrodil and eventually Tiber Septim as their capital. It's made of pure white marble. Every building in the city is marble. The city has the unique ability to reflect any light that shines on it. Meaning it's nearly gray at night, white at day, and orange at sunset. Cheydinal is like a fairy tale city with small bridges crossing the river that runs through the center of town. All the tudor houses have purple roofs that tend to be rather pointy. The town has lots of formerly Morrowind dunmer. Also, under the beauty of Cheydinal lies a dark secret, and another one, and yet another dark secret, and... But of course it's to each his own. From the rotting timber houses of Bravil, to the cozy cabins of Bruma, and to the extensive fortifications of Skingrad there is somthing for everyone!

wow. I had heard of Cheydinhal's famed bridges and the marble Imperial City but I didn't know all of it was marble. I've seen some pics of Anvil's sunset on planet elder scrolls. they're so awesome.

m'kay new question. What are the different regions? Could you describe them? such as resources, cities, creatures, etc.

His Majesty- 06-15-2006

Sorry about the wait! The regions can be divdided into the two political regions known as Nibenay and Colovia. Nibenay is the region near and along the river Niben. The people here invented, developed, and refined Imperial culture and society. So it's basically a lot of stingy, rude, and snobish men wearing brightly colored tights. But don't let that scare you! There's only a few per Niben town that can afford such luxuries. Most citizens wear rags or fairly common clothing. It's just the wealthy in the region of Nibeanay are extremly rich. Nibenay includes Cheydinal, Bravil, and Leyawin. The Imperial city is very Nibeanean as well. Colovia is to the west and to the north of the region Nibeanay. Colovia is rugged highlands and such. The people here are generaly less rude and they are more willing to speak to you polietly. There are actually more rich people in Colovia, however they don't act like it. One reason Colovians hate Nibeans is because they are never as likely to be appointed to a position of importance over a Nibean. You'll see this in guild halls and chapels all around Cyrodil. Colovia includes Chorrol, Bruma, Skingrad, Kvatch, and Anvil. Just rember, if someone thnks they are important they are Nibean. If they don't care that your talking to them they are Colovian. Oh, and despite the name, no one in the entire region of Colovia wears a Colovian fur Helm...

wow that's a whole lot of info, man. thanks. umm........next question......what is your favorite side quest? Could you describe details? details would include where you did the quest, who did you do the quest for, what rewards did the quest have, and things along those lines...

His Majesty- 06-17-2006

My favorite side quest. That's gotta be the Daedric quest for Sheograth. If you like Monty Python, like me, you'll love the absurdity of this beautiful and glorious quest. You speak to the Shrine of Sheograth and give the almighty deadra prince his spledid gift of lettuce, yarn, and a lesser soul gem. He then tells you that he needs you to go to the small setllement of Border Watch. There you listen to their priest speak of the Ri'Bassa prophecy. You learn that the prophecy has three events that happen in sequence. 1. The city shall be plauged by vermin. 2. The cities livestock die from mysterious causes. 3. The plauge of fear. He will not speak of such evils. It's simply to evil to discuss. Your journal tells you that you should stay at the Inn. According to the priest you spoke to the Inn's kepper has a excellent collection of chesse... The Innkeeper tells you that her most prized chesse is of the rare Ol Roy variety. She also says this chesse would smell so strong that rats from miles around would smell it's aroma if she ever cooked it. Interesting... You find a fire and a pot in the middle of Borderwatch. This pot when activated asks if you want to cook the Ol Roy cheese. Provided you have it in your inventory. Soon after setting the cheese in the pot green aromas drift from the pot and soon a plauge of rats arrive. Or are they vermin? The priest says vermin, this is good. Step two: Kill all their livestock. Anyway works. I shot them all with arrows. It was obvious to me that the arrows embeded in their heads are what killed them. Maybe the citizens of Borderwatch didn't notice. Now Sheograth tells you he'll help with the last stunt. He also applauds your meritous success in this great mission he'd given you. Step three: Sheograth turns the sky to fire. Soon you see flames falling from the sky. Suddenly you relize it's raining dogs. Flaming dogs. Did I mention Borderwatch is a Kahjitt setelment. Opps...I didn't did I. Well now step one and two are hysterical! Sheograth gives you Wabbajack as a gift for your performance in his comedy after a good hearty laugh. Wabbajack has the hysterical ability to turn any creature into another creature. Use it on a Deadra mini boss and it becomes a deer. Use it on a deer and it becomes Merunes Dagon, prince of destruction. It's completly random and utterly useless as even when used on your summons the new creature will still attack you! I guess it's only useful on very dangerous things where it couldn't get any worse. (It would probably get worse!)

sharrakor- 06-17-2006

wow that's funny. I once saw a pic of it raining cats and dogs in Oblivion. always wondered what was going on...

sharrakor- 06-18-2006

a couple new questions for ya. umm........which is the most improved race? which is the race that decreased in your opinion?

His Majesty- 06-18-2006

Well, I personally believe that all races have Improved with the exception of the Altmer. The Altmer's disease resistance has been lowered. It's easier to get sick with them now. Poor Avalaron. But, specifically, the Argonians are really interesting now. My younger brother has a Argonian and they have some interesting abilities. They can breath underwater now with a 100% constant effect! They can actually rest underwater. They also have good, but not perfect disease resistance. Also they are immune to poison. Excellent ablities to have. Dunmer can now summon Ancestor spirits. Rember that fortify security spell they had, Ancestor Guardian? Now it's a ghost they can summon! It's actually useful! Breton's Magika resistance is great! I don't believe it's changed any but the Breton's annoying voices and not very interesting faces kept me from making one in Morrowind. The other Races have changed very little. The physically strongest race now is the Nords however. I believe Orcs may have been stronger before, but the Nords must have worked out or something. My nord female-theif character actually sent a bandit flying across a small fort with just one blow. Watching a nord send a bandit flying is a hillarious and great reason to make one. Guaranted that if your Nord warrior attacks someone they'll kill them in a blow or two! Can't really say anything about anyone else. They haven't really changed much. Play what you want to play, everyone's got something good.

sharrakor- 06-19-2006

Oh and I heard that the Dunmer's voices aren't like the cool ones they had in Morrowind, is this true? Yeah...poor Avalaron I agree. Geez, Nords sound to me like they're too good. I dunno if I would want to be that strong. I never enjoy being able to pawn everything that comes into contact with me.

His Majesty- 06-20-2006

Well Nords aren't too good. My bandit nord character's primaries are all stealth and magika based. And she's bad at those things. Then again how hard could it be to find the 7ft tall nord in your room? She needs the stength to compensate her indiscretion. And about Dunmer voices, yes they've changed. But that's only because they've picked up Breton-British accents. Cyrodil dunmer are different than Morrowind dunmer. They left Morrowind because of it's hatred for foreigners, slavery, and strict Tribunal temple. It's only natural that they're different if you ask me. However, they are also proper. Everyone in Cyrodil is more proper and more refined. Even Orcs. This may be a problem in the game actually. I mean, Morrowind was awesome because everyone was somewhat rude and just a little crazy. Cyrodil reminds you of a huge court of some king. Everyone treats you like an important guest but get annoyed if you ask them for something not on the agenda for the day. However, commeners are still commoners and actually don't act as stiff. If it weren't for them all the time specific stuff might drive me mad! But over than that it's not so bad. And court life inspires some stuff for my character Avar-Aldmeri Perchance. Just one thing...ALL THE NIBENAY NOBLES SHOULD DIE! sorry, had to let that out...

sharrakor- 06-21-2006

why should they die?

His Majesty- 06-27-2006

Well I guess because the Nibenay royals are so very demanding. They are actually so demading that they're more exclusive and secretive than the Tribunal gods in Morrowind. Well, maybe not that bad. But all hundred of them act like they're gods. So that's problably why. Oh, sorry for not answering right away. I haven't really been busy, but I have been doing things.
