hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy
knock yourself out talking bout this funny movie/book. I'll let Hex start...

TheWhiteFox- 07-07-2006

I didn't like this movie actually. I just thought it was too bizarre. Though that's me and my sense of humor.

Hex- 07-07-2006

'Dont talk to me about life' -Marvin Ive read all of the books and *spoiler of one of the books (dont remember which)* at the end of marvin's life, he is actually happy about something. It's a miracle!

Hex- 07-07-2006

TWF, normally ppl who havent read the book dont like the movie. usually cuz they dont get it or it all just seems really pointless. So i guess what im asking is, have you read the books or not?

sharrakor- 07-08-2006

I haven't read the books but I still liked the movie. It was kinda weird to me the first time but after watching it a couple more times and picking up info from my obsessed friend, I enjoyed it. But after you *Hex* and my friend sayin stuff about it I think I'll have to read the books. They're currently 3rd in line for reading.

Hex- 07-08-2006

Yeah, it isnt too often that someone who hasnt read the books likes the movie or even thinks it is funny for that matter. What are the other 2 books you were going to read?

sharrakor- 07-08-2006

High Rhulain- by Brian Jacques. It's in the Redwall series if you've ever heard of it. Ptolemy's Gate-by Jonathan Stroud. Last book in Bartimaeus Trilogy.

Hex- 07-08-2006

Interesting... Never heard of them but they sound good. I should go see if they have those at the library.

sharrakor- 07-08-2006

well I'd advise that you start with the first books in those series which would be Redwall and Amulet of Samarkand.

Hex- 07-08-2006

Okay, i'll look into it. Just after i finish the halo series. Right now i am starting the second book.

sharrakor- 07-08-2006

oh they are great reads. the ones I said earlier and the Halo novels.

Hex- 07-08-2006

im sure i'll like the ones you mentioned. I loved the first halo book. *how did we get so off-topic? the amazing thing is i think we did within the first 5 posts. is that a record or something?*

sharrakor- 07-08-2006

nope. the thread about nothing is the place to find that record.

Hex- 07-08-2006

but how can you get off topic when there is no topic? that is what my 'random' topic does as well. we need to have a topic where ppl can try and see who can say the funniest line and try and rack up points or something. if you want, i can do that in the 'games and quizzes' section.

go for it.
