Cortana's Intentions
What are the intentions of Cortana?

Which part of the story are you referring to? H1, H2, the H3 trailer, or one of the books?

let's go for what do you think Cortana will do in Halo 3? Rampancy? Betrayal? Rescue?

shes seems a litte crazy in the trailer but then again i think becuze the one in H2 is a copy of cortana she trying to keep the real cortana out of cheifs head and cheif has know i idea who is who

Right now Cortana seems kind of stuck on the second halo. So i still have no idea of what she is going to do.

IRT #5 and #6 correction. Cortana is stuck on High Charity which is often mistaken to be crashed on Delta Halo. Remember that Gravemind teleported Arbiter and MC to seperate places. On High Charity you can see the Forerunner ship at the center of the city. Notice that there are no signs of the natural beauty that comes with the Halo constructs. All you can see is the purple sleekness of the Covenant architecture. And you might argue that there are plants though. These plants are believed to be a form of oxygen for the Covenant.

I think Cortana may be a little crazed. But the thing about the Covenant finding her, humans and Elites are most likely allies now fighting against the metally ill prophets and the brutes. But here's my opinion; I think Cortana is still crazed but remembers the MC and will not attack him. However, she may attack the allied covenant and maybe some of the humans. Her ultimate goal is now to keep the flood contained, no matter what. The MC may have to stop her some way but she needs to keep the flood contained and may attack the MC. She split personality as well; one, deep down, she remembers her purpose but finds it no loner needed and care about her second priority, the safety of the MC. On the other hand, she has been corrupted by the ring or High Charity (she may be able to transport herself back and forth like a wireless download) whatever the case may be and she will activate the ring. That's my opinion, you don't have to like it but that's what I think.

hmmm...I like some of your ideas there. Others weren't so good but overall, I like your theory. Remember that Halo 2 takes place after the third novel so all of First Strike has taken place right before Halo 2. *SPOILER ALERT* In First Strike Cortana makes many copies of herself which disrupts an AI's system. She also begins to forget to tell the Chief things like the fact there's a vent core that could make the trip safer or something like that and then she turns around and accuses MC of not hearing her. Rampancy? I think so... Betrayal? I think so... Good intentions? yes.

Halo 2 occures after first strike. In first strike, they fight the first force that the covanenent were going to use to attack earth.

I have an announcement. I was right about First Strike being in between the two games. Remember that near the end of First Strike John and the other Spartans encounter Brutes. And John doesn't know what they are. Cortana has to tell him. This is my proof. I can even give a page number. Page 310 first paragraph in First Strike. Read it. That's proof that Halo 2 occures after First Strike.

Wait.... Ok, I misread your post. I thought it said "Halo 2 takes place between The first halo and First strike." I need to pay attention more... But I just woke up so get off my back. (no, seriously, you are heavy, get off!)
